In this trip, we’ll step into a dark forest where we will find several tree species like yews, maples, hazels, pine woods, hollies, and, if we are in the right season, a beautiful extension of flowers like primroses or flowers of spring, violets or healthy herbs. A few kilometers away, we will start to feel the canyons, the sound of the water will take us to a new place to discover a forest full of of lime trees and maples, poplars, hazels and some elms, species that are not very usual at this altitude but we are lucky to find in this small area, where they find the right conditions to be able to grow and live.   On the way back to Boixar through the ancient path of Aragón, we’ll cross Hostalet, an old guesthouse where the muleteers used to sleep in; also, we’ll cross the ancient mills and the Boixar mill.   Distance: 13km   Slope: +560m

A full weekend for us to enjoy taking amazing shots of this animal, the mountain goat, in its natural habitat. We will visit three different key spots in this natural space, with changing landscapes and altitudes, so we can have a great variety of taken shots. As well, we will be privileged enough to be able to study this animal’s behaviour during their mating time.   The accommodation in these peculiar cave-houses will allow us to have unforgettable moments to share our taken shots during this journey.   The scheduled dates on December are: from the 1st to the 3rd; and 21st to 23rd. Come along with your friends and family and enjoy a weekend in contact with nature!

Nowadays, in las Azores exists a net of hiking routes classified by the Government. For many years, in las Azores, the easiest way to travel was through the sea, there were very few accessible routes and they were considerably difficult to transit with horses and oxen wagons. But there was a livestock trail, where shepherds and locals used it for the exchange of small products; the bigger products were exchanged thanks to the sea. This net of routes has been restored to enjoy the magnificent landscape of las Azores. We will start the route at the viewpoint of Lomba do Vasco. It’s a protected landscape, in which we will enjoy the wonderful west coast views of the island of São Miguel, till we reach the viewpoint of do Rei. At this point, we will start a descent that will take us to the town of Siete Cidades. Along the route, of 7 km, the guide and everyone involved will have to preserve and take care of the environment so it remains untouched once we have enjoyed it.

But there was a livestock trail, where shepherds and locals used it for the exchange of small products; the bigger products were exchanged thanks to the sea. This net of routes has been restored to enjoy the magnificent landscape of las Azores. This route starts at the parking lot of Rocha da Relva. The descent to Rocha da Relva is made through a located route in the cliff. This is an easy route and doesn’t have any obstacles in its way. Along the route, we will find plain geological formations grown in the island of São Jorge and in the island of São Miguel. Once there, and thanks to the micro-climate we can find there, we will encounter a great amount of vineyards and gardens. I’t a 4.5 km route with an amazing landscape that is worth seeing.

The Azores islands are one of the most privileged places in the world for the observation of cetaceans. If we also count the resident and migratory species, in its crystal clear waters is possible to find up to 24 different species of dolphins and whales. It’s a third of the total amount of cetaceans that exist nowadays. Join us in this adventure and come to discover these nice inhabitants of the Atlantic Ocean.

At 1200 meters high, after the star you will go over a stone bridge and will step into the livestock landscape of las Azores. At the top of the grazing lands, you will enjoy the wonderful views over the northern coast of the islands, from Pico da Vara to northeast till Ribeirinha. After 6 km, we will return to the start point, at the Gorreana tea factory , where you will be able to taste some typical tea from the plantations you crossed before.

This route on foot will take us through an ancient real path from the parish of Las Tricias going down through vineyards and dragon trees. We will know other singularities of the surroundings thanks to the explanations and notes from our local guides. We will see petroglyphs, some prehistoric engravings from our aborigines in the island. We will also visit rural farmsteads and an old mill where they used to obtain and produce gofio, a fundamental food in the life in the archipelago.
