The charmed landscapes of Galicia
Galicia, one of the lands with the most legends and nature in Spain. Formerly inhabited by the Celts, this autonomous community has much to teach the visitor. It does not matter if you go alone to visit the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, there will always be something of its environment that will surprise you. Therefore, doing activities in the nature of Galicia will give you a complete view of what the western corner of the country can offer you.

Undoubtedly, the best way to know a place is on foot. Hiking is very important in Galicia, why? Well, because there is nothing like discovering to the rhythm of your feet tracts of paths that were once traveled by other cultures while you see traces of them along the way like a Roman church inside a forest or a dolmen.

We all know the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, practiced since ancient times by religious that today has become an activity practiced with pleasure by believers and non-believers, even by foreign hikers. And because of its multiple paths, you can find marvels such as the views from the Silver Lighthouse on the Camino del Norte or crossing the Puente de la Reina as pilgrims did in the 11th century.
Fall in love with Galicia for its natural enviroment
Apart from hiking, there are other ways to get to know the natural environment of Galicia, such as the seaway. One of the advantages of this community is to be able to navigate, for example, on a catamaran along the Ribeira Sacra and admire the impressive Cañones del Sil and Miño, or to visit the islands of Cíes, Ons, Sálvora and Cortegada. And of course, navigate the waters of the Rías Altas in the north and the Rías Baixas in the southwest.

Navigation is not the only aquatic activity you can do to discover Galician nature. Rafting, kayaking, hydrospeed and aquatic canyoning are an excellent option to take a dip with adrenaline in the Ulla River or in the Xallas River. Although if you are looking for adrenaline, climbing, rappelling and trekking can be excellent alternatives.

But one of the star activities, and never better said, is the observation of the cosmos. Did you know that Trevinca de A Veiga and the National Park Das Illas Atlánticas have the Starlight seal? That means that if you want to see stars, your skies are perfect to see them since they do not have light pollution. Of course, we recommend seeing the time before going in case the clouds bother us the plan.

In short, you can know Galicia in many ways. You just have to choose which is the option that best suits you and launch yourself to try it. We assure you that you choose what you choose, you will be pleasantly surprised and will make you remember your trip through Galician lands with a lot of love.
