Aragón: a great spot for sustainable tourism and ecotourism
Almost always when we think about the nature of Aragón we tend to direct our mind to the Pyrenees. To the high peaks, the snows and the mountain lakes of Huesca, the northernmost of its provinces.
All that is Aragon, really, but not only that. In this Autonomous Community we also find desert landscapes, forests of different shades, rivers and canyons of labyrinthine forms ... A host of landscapes that invite you to practice all kinds of activities in nature in Aragon.
The amount of protected spaces in this community is immense. In the north, precisely in the Aragonese Pyrenees, is the one with the highest protection category, the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. This is a place of millenary routes, where hiking is much more than an activity, it is a way of life.
The adventure activities that can be done, both in this and in the two Natural Parks that surround it on the left and right, that of Posets-Maladeta and that of the Western Valleys, are very varied. Hiking, trekking, rafting or canyoning in summer; and all kinds of snow sports in winter.
