A Coruña: the natural mystery
A Coruña is the most important province of the autonomous community of Galicia, and this is because it contains its capital, Santiago de Compostela. Although it is clear that it is not only because of that. The nature of Galicia has always been magical, and the province more to the top corner of our country is also. You can enjoy a unique nature or the end of the world at Cape Finisterre, "where the land ends".

You can do ecotourism in A Coruña wherever you go, but we recommend you visit Fragas do Eume and Corrubedo and lagoas de Carregal e Vixán. There are 2 of the 6 natural parks declared in the autonomous community and with which A Coruña is lucky to have. Another point in favor is that it is part of both the Rías Altas (its north and northwest coast) and the Rías Baixas (its west coast), so that water activities are more than assured, either by river or by sea.

Water activities such as rafting, kayaking, paddle surfing or hydrospeed are very fun on the Ulla and Xallas rivers. In this last river you will have the opportunity to see the Cascada del Ézaro, spectacular if you see it from a kayak boat. Undoubtedly, discover Costa da Morte with some of these activities is the ideal option to release adrenaline and see one of the most beautiful natural environments of the province.
Enjoy A Coruña in a different way
If climbing is your thing there are also options for you. Also in Costa da Morte you can climb the Celtic Olympus, Mount Pindo, where you will get a different perspective of the Cascada del Ézaro. This mountain is full of legends for hundreds of years and you can discover them in an activity of climbing or trekking.

Bird lovers have several places to birding or birdwatching as in As Marismas, in Bergondo, a wetland with an important ecological value for hosting many species of migratory marsh birds as an annual resting point.

Although, as in all Galicia, the activity that predominates in the province is hiking. Especially if we take into account that it has in its possession Santiago de Compostela, a very famous place of pilgrimage to which hundreds of thousands of people visit each year as the end of the Camino de Santiago. But in addition to the signposted roads to reach Santiago de Compostela, there are other hiking trails that will surprise you, such as those that pass through the Costa de Dexo-Serantes Natural Monument, for example.

There are so many options for ecotourism in A Coruña that you can try to do them all to see which one best suits you. Which would you start with?
