Activity description

Split by the river Tiétar and Tajo, Parque Nacional de Monfragüe counts with the most extended and conserved Mediterranean area worldwide, being the only National Park in Extremadura.

In this park, we can find 290 vertebrate species, where 190 species are birds, some of them being threatened species and others in danger of extinction, like the black vulture and the black stork. A route through the Mediterranean forest till the Monfragüe castle, where you will be able to enjoy the wonderful views of this National Park.

Discover one of the biggest ornithological reserves in the world and admire, thanks to the viewpoints, the most emblematic birds in the park: black stork, griffon vulture, black vulture, Egyptian vulture, oquero solitario, Iberian eagle, among other ones.

A true ornithologist paradise that has become a must!
