Come and visit the Arenal Volcano National Park

For this we move to the province of Alajuela. This tropical climate region located in the north of the country has some of the most important national parks in Costa Rica, such as the Arenal Volcano National Park. In addition, you can find other volcanoes and rich wildlife.

Activity

In this 4 km walk along the trails of the Arenal Volcano National Park, we will enter the tropical forest and areas that were once devastated by the fury of the Volcano.

During the walk it is possible to observe a great variety of flora typical of the area such as the Ceibo, a large tree that survived the volcanic activity of all these previous years; this until reaching the sector of the "lava flows of 1992", a large accumulation of solidified volcanic material expelled from the crater of this cone-shaped colossus in a period of high activity during that year. On clear days from this sector you will have a magnificent view of the imposing Arenal Colossus, Lake Arenal, the volcanic mountain range of Tilarán and Cerro Chato.

Our naturalist guide will provide valuable and interesting information about the main features of this volcano, active since 1968 and many important details of everything that is observed during the trail. At the end of the trek we will take a delicious snack of tropical fruits and then return to your hotel.
