Cuzco and Machu Picchu


If we would have to name the greatest site of touristic attraction in Peru it would have to be Cuzco. The city is located in south-west of the country and holds the richest heritage of Peru. In Antaño, which used to be the capital in the times of Inca Empire, you can still witness colonial legacy’s mark on its buildings. Due to the extensive amount of monuments this place holds it was declared as the World Heritage site in 1983.

There are various reasons why you should visit Cuzco. One of them is its proximity to one of the 7 wonders of the modern world - the massive Machu Picchu. This historic sanctuary is known as a sacred valley of the Incas and is located in the height of 2500 meters.

We offer you a unique tour around the city of Cuzco, Machu Picchu and many more attractions which we will travel by so that you can witness the impressive heritage sites yourself. All with the help of our professional guides who will explain every detail of the trip.


We offer you the following itinerary:


Day 1: Cuzco - Wiñay Wayna - Machu Picchu

The adventure will start from the hotel you are staying at, at the agreed time (depending on the time of the train). We will transfer you to the train station. A journey of an hour and a half will await you on a trip with beautiful views until you reach the beginning of the trail. Afterwards, the hike will take about 4 hours until you reach Wiñay Wayna, archaeological Inca ruins of great value situated almost 2,700 meters above sea level. Undoubtedly, it is a spectacular tour with incredible views.

The trip will continue until we reach Inti Punku. From here, the first panoramic view to Machu Picchu will open in front of your eyes. We will take the side road to go down to Aguas Calientes to rest and recover strength for the next day's journey.



Day 2 Machu Picchu Tour - Train back to Cuzco

The day will start very early. You will have breakfast before catching the first bus that will take you to Machu Picchu. Together with the guide, you will enjoy a 2 hour journey to reach the majestic and mysterious city of Machu Picchu. You will also have the possibility of climbing Huayna Picchu, about 2720 meters high (approximately 45 minutes to reach the top).

On the way back, a lunch will await you in Aguas Calientes and you will take the train back to Cuzco (with bus transfer from Ollantaytambo). You will also have an option of spending an extra night in Aguas Calientes (not included) to explore this amazing place in depth or relax in the hot springs of the city.
