Fun initiation course to sport climbing (Vilamarxant, Valencia)

Enjoy an initiation course to sport climbing with us!

 

For this first day, we have chosen the climbing area of Vilamarxant. On a future second day, we would like to take you to other places like Montesa, Chulilla or Cheste (to be agreed between guide and participants, depending on the weather, climbing areas and your skills).

 

This activity is suitable for people without any previous knowledge in climbing. This experience is ideal to introduce you to the basic techniques and materials to safely progress through ferrata routes, outdoor and indoor climbing. During the course, you will learn the following theoretical and practical content:

 

- Technical concepts

- Differences between types of climbing

- Reading of reviews: choice of the school and the way

- Basic knots

- Personal and safety equipment

- Progression and assurance techniques

- Overhangs (pick-up maneuvers) and other techniques

- Care to avoid injuries.
