The Portuguese Way

If there is a route worth traveling in Galicia that is the Camino de Santiago in its different stages. An activity that connects with nature and the environment that surrounds us while you discover the wonders of this fantastic land.

The Portuguese Way, in its part from Pontevedra to Santiago, will allow you to follow the steps of the Apostle Santiago when they arrived by the Arousa estuary to the Ulla river and deposited the remains in Santiago de Compostela.

Through the waters of Galicia

We propose a beautiful six-day adventure that combines hiking with a route along the Arousa estuary, the Ulla river and dream places such as the deserted island of Cortegada in Catoira (National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia).

In addition, it also includes another series of cultural activities such as a guided tour of Santiago de Compostela or a visit to a Marmalade factory. Nature and culture in its purest form!

Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival.

Arrival to Santiago and transfer to Pontevedra. Check in Welcome dinner and accommodation.

Day 2. Beginning of the Way.

Walking route from Pontevedra to Armenteira along the coastal route that coincides with the traditional Camino de Santiago and the Via Romana XII. Arrival to Armenteira and accommodation.

Day 3. Second stage.

Second stage of the Camino de Santiago (Das Pedras and A Auga Route). Walking route along the path to the side of the Armenteira River looking for the coast. Arrival in Vilanova de Arousa and accommodation.

Day 4. Third stage.

Kayak route along the Arousa estuary from Vilanova to Catoira through the deserted island of Cortegada in Catoira (National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia). Arrival to Catoira and accommodation.

Day 5. Fourth stage.

In the morning, kayak route along the estuary of the Ulla River following the path of the 13 crosses. In the afternoon, visit the factory of handmade jam of paprika peppers. Arrival to Padrón and accommodation.

Day 6. Fifth stage.

Walking route from Padrón to Santiago. Arrival in Santiago and guided city tour. Dinner with farewell farewell and accommodation.
