What you will find in Valencia with ecotourism
Another space where you can enjoy several activities in nature in Valencia is the Natural Park of the Hoces del Cabriel. In the surroundings of this river you can do many hiking trails and, if you are more daring, practice the descent of white water, both open kayak and rafting, through one of the most impressive places in Valencia.
If you like to learn about nature, a place you should not miss is the Geological Park of Chera, located within the Chera-Sot de Chera Natural Park. There you will discover everything you want to know about minerals and fossils while you contemplate the incredible tectonic formations of the Park. And if you are not happy with observing, you can even promote them, since there are many areas enabled for climbing around; as the routes near Chulilla, more than 80 meters high.
In the Natural Park of Puebla de San Miguel you can observe raptors; as well as enjoy hiking and ascend to the highest peak in the province, the Alto de las Barracas. In the Natural Parks of Túria, Marjal de Pego and Oliva, Sierra Calderona and Sierra Mariola you can also go hiking. By the way, that these last two have long stretches of paths: the GR 10 crosses the Sierra Calderona Natural Park and the GR 7 that of the Sierra Mariola.
Other climbing routes (such as those near Montesa), aquatic canyoning in Otonel or in the Gorgo de la Escalera and caving in the cave of La Sarsa are more ideas to enjoy nature in Valencia.
