Moving away from the water, we find the Sierra de los Ancares. Shared with Leon, this mountain range is a Biosphere Reserve, and is perfect for walking or on foot or by mountain bike. Its multiple routes and trails will take you to discover one of the most beautiful natural landscapes and that best maintain the traditional lifestyle of Galician mountaineers in the province. There you will find pallozas, horreos and old tietos that will transport you long ago.
It is also a fantastic place to practice birdwatching or bird watching. You can meet with your binoculars the capercaillie, one of the most representative birds of this mountain range. Others that usually inhabit their mountains are the golden eagle or the peregrine falcon.
Against the position of the mountains, Lugo has the Terra Chá region, a mysterious wonder because it is a great plain in a place where it is not common that there are. In it you will find a collection of rivers and lagoons, so you will also see birds that take it as a resting place in their migration.
