Rafting in Llavorsí: adventure sailing Noguera Pallaresa river
Rafting is one of the sports for which you do not need much physical preparation. This makes it an easy proposal to practice adventure tourism .
This sport, for those who have never practiced it, and do not know what it is about, consists in descending a river in those sections where the water flow is faster (whitewater areas).
The raft (and hence the name of the activity), is an inflatable raft, quite stable in the water, with capacity for a large group of people (up to 8 plus the monitor). It is directed with paddles individually or in pairs. Thus, you can enjoy a great time in the company of your friends or your family. Squeeze that team spirit to the fullest!
In this type of activities usually accompany a monitor, who will make the day a fun and safe experience, since they usually brighten the journey with games and jokes.
As for the place, Llavorsí is a municipality located in the province of Lérida (Catalonia), located in the region of Pallars Sobirá. This region is known as the queen of rafting, this being its star activity.
And it is that the Noguera Pallaresa , river where rafting is practiced in Llavorsí, was the first river in which rafting was practiced in Spain, more than 30 years ago. In addition, it is considered the best river in the country to practice activities of this nature and one of the best in Europe. That is, we are before the father of rafting in Spain .
Even the Noguera Pallaresa International Rally is celebrated, declared a Festival of Tourist Interest, in which official rafting and canoeing events are carried out.
The Noguera Pallaresa has steps of II, III and IV degree. Rafting can be done from April to October, but those who have already been able to enjoy it recommend doing it in the thaw season, between May and June.
Rafting is an ideal activity if you want to release all that stress you have accumulated. You will exercise your muscles (also those of the face because you will laugh a lot during the journey), you will have a good time, and finally, it will be the Pyrenean landscape that will put the icing on this cake.
