Bodegas Viña Ijalba is an organic winery of the D.O. Ca. Rioja, located in Logroño.

It was founded in 1991, by Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba in his desire to produce organic wines. It owns around 92 hectares of vineyards located in recovery areas and it has collaborated in studies of recovery of autochthonous varieties of La Rioja.

We can say that the fundamental principles are: Recovery areas, recovery varieties and ecology, which are present in all the wine experiences that the winery offers to its visitors.

We booked the tour with the bodega, and had the most fantastic afternoon! June(but please translate to Basque as I cant) our tour guide was brilliant, & so knowledgeable about the vineyards history & all the processes. She gave us & a lovely Dutch couple the tour alone in perfect English, & we tasted the most delicious wines..... excellent tour & would highly recommend it. We are touring on motorbikes, so we couldn't stock up unfortunately..... Happy days, book a tour you won't be disappointed!

We had a great time on our tour! Ana was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. We learned so much about their family business and the rioja wine region in general. I feel like an expert after leaving this tour! Also, the three wines we tasted were excellent. Highly recommend stopping here while in Logroño!

Juncal was a great tour guide! The winery is exceptional - all organic and even vegan... a small family-owned operation producing some very delicious wines. Tasting happens in an intimate tasting room around a big oval table. Excellent experience, 10/10 would recommend! Walkable from Logroño, btw :)

Loved the tour! Really informative and the wines are super tasty too! Much better experience than other nearby wineries, it is smaller and less commercial which makes for a great tour experience.

On the smaller side and relatively new but well worth a stop. They will give you a tour of the winery but there is not many vineyards on site. They are all in recovery areas around the region. They do organic wines and know a lot about what and why they do it. Worth a stop if you are in the area. Book ahead if you want to reserve a spot. Great price for the quality.
