Tarifa and the Strait of Gibraltar

Tarifa is one of the most picturesque towns in Cádiz. Its idyllic beaches are a tourist attraction thanks to its fine sand and crystal clear waters. In addition, the strong wind of the strait makes it the ideal place to practice water sports such as surfing. Most of its municipal area is protected, which gives it a special ecological value since it houses large natural spaces such as the Los Alcornocales Natural Park or the Estrecho Natural Park.

Whale watching

From Tarifa you can cross the waters of the Strait of Gibraltar in search of cetaceans. One of the best sites for whale watching in a strategic place and a passage between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Among the most common species you can find, the common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, pilot whales, killer whales or sperm whales stand out. A great experience that will make you feel in complete freedom with nature seeing these wonderful animals in their natural habitat.

It is a sighting of cetaceans on a boat route (in low season) through the waters of the Strait where it will enter and approach the African coast.
