Tour at Caves of Coin + Museum + Dinosaur tracksite + Degustations

Do you know the Grutas da Moeda (Cuevas de la Moneda)? Some caves with a special charm in the center of Portugal.

Portugal offers a lot of unique activities for the enjoyment of those who dare to visit this charming country. A few minutes from Fatima and Batlha (Portugal), these caves discovered in 1971 by two hunters are located. It is a series of halls and galleries full of innumerable calcareous formations famous for their great natural beauty. In total about 350 meters of visitable cave and a depth of 45 meters.

We offer you a guided tour of the cave where you can discover the natural galleries and their spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. Did you know that stalactites are formed from calcium carbonate in water? You will know all this and much more along the way, like the fascinating legend of Moeda which gives name to the caves.

Once the tour is finished, you can also visit the museum of fossils and minerals with a large number of copies available. This is the ideal place to admire a magnificent exhibition of minerals and fossils from Portugal and many other countries. You can taste regional products (sweet wine, honey, olive oil, regional sweet ...).

The final highlight of the day will be a visit to the National Monument of Dinosaur Footprints.
