Did you know that in southern Africa there are some of the highest waterfalls, the Victoria Falls?
In the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia we find this natural wonder, a tourist attraction worldwide and one of the most visited attractions of the African continent.
Water is very important in Zambia. The main river is the Zambezi that bathes the western and southern part of the territory. And it is that near this river appears some of the most symbolic and beautiful waterfalls in the world, the Victoria Falls with more than 100 meters of altitude. Seeing them in all their splendor is a delight.
The National Park of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, also known as "the smoke that thunders" has more than six thousand hectares and is the ideal place to appreciate the water in all its splendor.
Come and visit this natural monument, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a tour from Livingstone. With a guide, you will visit strategic points such as Victoria Falls Bridge, the bridge of real life or the boiling pot, and you will learn how the waterfall was formed, how it could change in the future and the different types of vegetation and wildlife. Select a departure time in the morning or afternoon when making the reservation.
Then we will go to the waterfalls to start a fun walking tour of this cascade listed as a World Heritage Site. The falls are spectacular at any time of the year, either in high season (April to August), with shades of water sprayed and roaring, or in low season (from September to March), when you can look down the rock between trickles of water and below, where fish swim under the knife edge bridge.
The leaf of water that falls is the largest in the world. Across the Knife-edge bridge you will have one of the best panoramas to see the eastern falls and Main Falls, as well as Boiling Pot, where the river turns and heads towards Batoka Gorge. Other observation points include Victoria Falls Bridge, Devil's Pool and other Lockout points, which offer panoramic views of Main Falls.
All an authentic adventure to see one of the biggest waterfalls in the world.
