Start a unique journey to discover the Canadian Rocky Mountains and live an experience you will never forget.
You will know amazing natural parks like Jasper, Kootenay, Banff, Yoho or Waterton. We will go through the mountains from north to south and we will travel the Icefields Parkway. In every moment, we will surrounded by a natural and unique landscape and we will share the habitat with moose, dears, bighorn sheep, coyotes, pumas, bears and wolves.
Day 1: Calgary-Banff
Arrival to Calgary. Group and guide meeting. Transfer to accommodation in Banff.
Day 2: Banff
After breakfast and a welcome meeting, you will have time to buy the groceries for the travel and you will also have time to get to know the city of Banff.
Day 3: Banff
Whole day to do some trekking in Aylmer Lookout & Pass Trail. We will go around the amazing glacial lake of Minnewanka, where the aborigines used to live for several years. It’s an area rich in animal life. After, we will go a bit uphill to reach the Aylmer Lookout, with amazing views to the lake and to the Mount Aylmer, where we will make the most of the time to eat and rest. Then we go back and spend a night in Banff.
Day 4: Louis Lakes, Moraine and Consolation
After an early breakfast we will take the Bow Valler Parkway, a secondary road where bears, wolves, dears and goats wander searching for food. We will visit the impressive glacial lake Louis next to the famous hotel Chateu Lake Louis. It’s a must to visit the Moraine Lake, with its striking turquoise blue color. There you will have time to rest and enjoy the views (or to rent canoes). After, we will move towards Consolation Lakes, a 2 hour trail with views to the glaciers, mountains and wildlife in summer time. Night at Louis Lake.
Day 5: Moraine Lake (Paradise Valley - Giant Steps - Moraine Lake)
An spectacular and wild route. In this one, you will discover lakes, waterfalls, rivers and stunning glaciers. An encounter with nature in its pure state, with species like eagles, hedgehogs, wolves, coyotes, bears and the Canadian white goat. We will stay the night in tents like old-fashioned explorers.
Day 6: Larch Valley
We will pack the equipment and we will go towards Sentinel Pass, the landscape changes completely and it turns out drier. We will be surrounded by huge stone walls. Then, we will go downhill by the amazing and picturesque Larch Valley, famous for its peculiar trees, that turn the landscape yellow at the end of summer. We will go downhill through leafy forests to finally arrive to the Moraine Lake. Night in Banff.
Day 7: Saskatchewan River Valley
We will start the day going towards north and will stop at the majestic Peyto Lake and Boom Lake (make sure you take some pictures here). We will have a brief stop to stock up in Saskatchewan Crossing, where you will find typical Canadian products. At the afternoon we will go north direction till we reach Rampart Creek. We will leave our luggage in a particular cabin, where we will stay in the night, and we will start our journey to Sunset Lookout, with one of the most beautiful views (3 hour trekking).
Day 8: Sunwapta Waterfalls and Athabasca
We will drive through Icefield Park Way, one of the most beautiful roads worldwide. We will stop at Parker Ridge to do some trekking with stunning views to Saskatchewan Glacier (3 hours and a half). Afterwards, we will drive to Jasper. During the road trip we will visit Icefield Centre, with views to the biggest ice camp in the Rocky Mountains, and we will stop by the Sunwapta Waterfalls and Athabasca. Night in Jasper at Bed & Breakfast.
Day 9: Maligne Lake and Maligne Canyon
By the morning we will enjoy a typical Canadian breakfast and you will have the chance to visit the beautiful town of Jasper. By the afternoon, we will do some trekking at Mount Edith Cavel next to Athabasca river, that’s located inside the National Park of Jasper, where we will be able to see the Angel Glacier. Finishing the adventure, we will visit the famous Maligne Lake and Maligne Canyon (driving) where it’s easy to see the bears eating berries next to the road. Night in Jasper and Bed & Breakfast.
Day 10: Mount Robson
Visit to Mount Robson National Park. 2 day trekking inside the British Columbia. You can find here the highest mountain in the Rocky Mountains, Mount Robson, with 3854 meters. Afterwards, we will start a trekking towards the impressive Berg Lake, next to the top of Mount Robson. The route that ends at our camping is full of waterfalls, lakes and beautiful mountains, a breathtaking view. Night in camping.
Day 11: Berg Lake
Breakfast with stunning views. If you are adventurous you will for sure swim in the cold waters of Berg Lake. After lunch, we will pack the tents and we will start the journey back to Jasper. Night in Jasper and Bed and Breakfast.
Day 12: Jasper
Free time and time to rest in the morning in Jasper. At the afternoon, we will go back to Banff. Night in Banff.
Day 13: O’Hara Lake
We will go towards Yoho National Park (south-east to British Columbia), going around Kootenay National Park. Astonishing natural space with a very rich wildlife. We will do a 1 day trekking in O’Hara Lake, we will visit its famous cabins and one of its most spectacular valleys, going around its turquoise color lakes. Back and night in Banff.
Day 14: Banff
Free time in Banff.
Day 15: Calgary
Transfer to Calgary Airport and farewell.

We will provide information about other possible activities like rafting, canoe renting and horse riding; also we will provide recommendations about gastronomy, restaurants, museums or shops to people who request this. The price of these activities is not included.
All the activities and itineraries of this program could be altered if needed (mechanical problems, climate, route problems, etc.). If it’s needed, the route will be modified to ensure the trip is smooth and the safety of the group.
