Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
You’ll arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), in Kathmandu. One of our representatives will welcome you in the traditional way at the arrival gate. You will be taken to your hotel. In the evening, you can enjoy a good traditional welcome dinner.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Patan and Monkey temple (Shoyambunath)
Early in the morning, we will go to Bungamati and Khokana. It’s a place very less affected by the modern city, just a few kilometers far town, Bungamati represents the true beauty of living the old culture and society of this land. Only few minutes away, there is another Newari village called Khokana. Second half of the day we will travel around the beautiful city of Patan (Lalitpur), well known for its traditional Newari architecture, woodcarving and metal working, among many other arts.
Day 3: Flying to Pokhara and getting ready for the trek
Early in the morning we will go from Kathmandu to Pokhara through the Himalayas. As soon as we land in Pokhara, we will have our lunch. In Pokhara, we will do some sightseeing and prepare ourselves for the trek.
Day 4: Flying to Jomsom and trekking to Kagbeni
From Pokhara, we will take a short flight between the Himalayas. After having breakfast in Jomsom, we will start the trek following the Kali Gandaki river to Eklebhatti, and then to Kagbeni. We will be staying overnight in a hotel in Kagbeni.
Day 5: Trekking to Chele
Leaving Kagbeni behind us, we will enter the restricted area of Upper Mustang. Following Kali Gandaki river, the trail goes both uphill and downhill to reach the village of Tangbe. From Tangbe, the trail goes all the way down to Chhuksang village. We will continue the walk following the Kali Gandaki river to the village of Chele.
Day 6: From Chele to Ghiling
Today, we will climb up to Taklam La Pass. On the way there, there are narrow stretches with views to the Tilicho Peak, Yakawa Kang and Damodar Danda. We will be staying overnight in Ghiling.
Day 7: From Ghiling to Charang
Today, after having our breakfast, we will trek from Ghiling to the village of Charang, which will take us about 4 to 5 hours. We will be staying overnight in Charang.
Day 8: From Charang to Lo- Manthang
Today, after having our breakfast, we will trek from Charang to Lo- Manthang, which will take us around 5 to 6 hours. We will be staying overnight in Lo-Manthang
Day 9, 10 and 11: Tiji Festival (MAY 15 -16 - 17)
From Today, the Tiji Festival starts, so we can enjoy the cultural and natural area of this region. The festival is a three-day ritual known as "The chasing of the Demons". We will enjoy the festival, of course!
Day 12: From Lo-Manthang to Ghami
Now, we will return to Ghami from Lo-Manthang. On the way there, we will cross Chogo La, the highest point of this trek. We will reach Ghami, a village which is surrounded by large fields. We will be staying overnight in Ghami.
Day 13: From Ghami to Samar
Today, we will trek down from Ghami to Samar by walking about 5 hours. Samar is small village with nice terraces and people over there follow the Tibetan lifestyle and tradition. Overnight in Samar
Day 14: From Samar to Kagbeni
Today, we will walk along the bank of the Kali Gandaki river. We will be staying overnight in Kagbeni.
Day 15: From Kagbeni to Jomsom
Today, we will descend to reach Jomsom through the beautiful landscapes. We will be staying overnight in Jomsom.
Day 16: From Jomsom to Pokhara (short flight)
After having an early breakfast, we will take a short walk to the airport and fly back to Pokhara. We will be staying overnight in Pokhara
Day 17: Flying back to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, we will catch a flight to Kathmandu where our trip ends. We will be staying overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 18: Last day
You will be transferred to the Tribhuwan International Airport.
