Activity description

Do you know the transhumance? a form of grazing always in continuous movement that adapts to the environment and changes of zone according to the productivity. This tradition is being lost, and Sureyna, owner of Toral and Fonca, wants to recover.

That's why we propose you to accompany two asturcones, a small and rural Asturian horse breed, and search through the Cabranes forests for new meadows for the herd.

In addition, while we explore the nature of these forests, Sureyna will teach us the plants that we will find, both for medicinal use and for eating.

The route will go from Santa Eulalia to Las Costes, a journey of about 5 km while discovering the green mountains of Cabranes. You will go at a calm pace, to the rhythm of the horses, and if you do not feel like walking again, we can always organize your return by car to the starting point.

The perfect activity to enjoy nature while walking with the best company.
