Chantada and Romanesque art

This tour will take place in Chantada, a town in the province of Lugo, with a rich heritage of Romanesque architecture, wine and legends. In addition to being a Galician municipality it also gives name to a beautiful region of what is said to be "the heart of Galicia". Monte Faro can be found in this region with a spectacular nature to visit. Nearby you can also find Pena Veidosa, a complex of green and beautiful landscapes.

The charms of Galicia

The route consists of a combination of a van tour, walking route and a boat route. We will leave from Pontevedra and Lugo, and we will start this fabulous experience of A Ribeira Sacra. We will enjoy a magnificent day combining active tourism, trekking and love for the wine, so typical for these lands. The activity will be guided by one of our guides who knows the area perfectly. It will take approximately 11 hours and it will include a delicious picnic. You can do it with the whole family and you can also bring your pets.

The beautiful landscapes of the Ribera Sacra

The jewel of the interior region of Galicia is the Ribeira Sacra, since it is an excellent area for viticulture due to the vineyards which are placed on benches on the banks of the rivers of Miño and Sil.

The origins of the name of Ribeira Sacra come from the many monasteries which were built on the banks of the rivers and the amount of oaks that we find in the area. It is a fantastic place to get to know the culture of wine, nature, the cliffs and comprehend the lives of the monks.

During this activity we will visit the Ribeira Sacra del Miño, enjoy the views of Belesar, Cabo do mundo, the waterfall of Aguascaídas, the vineyards of Chantada and Abadía Da Cova-Adegas Moure where we will attent and exquisite wine tasting. Apart from that, we will go to the Ribeira Sacra del Sil, where we will be able to appreciate the viewpoints of the Sil canyons and will take on an exciting catamaran trip along this river.
