Activity description

Feel the essence of the Camino de Santiago on a route that starts from the estuary of Muros and Noya to Santiago de Compostela.

The estuary of Muros and Noia

One of the most charming estuaries in Galicia is located on the coast of A Coruña, between the Corcubión estuary and the Arousa estuary. Along the estuary you can observe a wonderful landscape surrounded by the sea, soft mountains and small fishing villages. A place of good gastronomy, seafood and traditions that have endured.

At the end of the estuary, the town of Noia opens up to pilgrims who want to leave for Santiago de Compostela. In addition, you will find beautiful beaches and peculiar places like the old Castro de Baroña settlement.

Way of the Portus Apostoli

We propose to undertake two stages on foot to Santiago de Compostela from the Ría de Muros and Noia by kayak to Noia (the first stage of the Portus Apóstoli Trail). From here you will continue the adventure on foot with guided tours and tasting the best of Galician cuisine as its D.O. Rías Baixas or enjoying a real queimada. A most rewarding trip!

Itinerary

Day 1. The arrival

Transfer Check in hotel and special welcome dinner.

Day 2. The landing at Portus Apóstoli

Transfer to Porto do Son from the hotel to visit the Castro de Baroña, kayak navigation and stop at Portosín. We will continue sailing until we reach Portus Apostoli to taste products from the Ría de Muros and Noia, D.O. Rías Baixas and enjoy a walk through the beautiful streets of Noia. Transfer to the hotel and dinner.

Day 3. The pilgrimage

We will take you to Noia to start walking the route followed by the pilgrims since 1147. We will travel the Camino Real visiting the Toxosoutos Monastery in an idyllic place of forests and waterfalls. We will walk to Brion, ending this stage. We will return to Noia to enjoy a guided tour in this picturesque medieval village.

Day 4. The jubilation. The arrival in Santiago

We resume the route after visiting the Altamira tower to cover the road that separates us from our goal: the Plaza del Obradoiro in Santiago de Compostela. Once there we will take a guided tour of Santiago de Compostela. In addition, we will invite you to enjoy a dinner with theatrical queimada. Transfer to the hotel in the center of Santiago de Compostela.

Day 5. The farewell

Breakfast and check out. Transfer to the airport.
