You will start with a 4x4 route until you reach the beginning of a walk of about 3 hours to see the traditional windmills as well as the calcareous landscape along with the flora and fauna of the place.

To regain strength, you will stop at the stone village of Pia do Urso. A beautiful traditional town that draws attention to the beauty of its houses and cobbled streets. The regional restaurant offers you the best of the products of the area.

Grutas da Moeda

The adventure continues with a guided tour of the cave where you can discover the natural galleries and their spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. Did you know that stalactites are formed from calcium carbonate in water? You will know all this and much more along the way, like the fascinating legend of Moeda which gives its name to the caves.

Once the tour is finished, you can also visit the fossil and mineral museum with a large number of available copies. This is the ideal place to admire a magnificent exhibition of minerals and fossils from Portugal and many other countries. Finally, you can taste regional products (sweet wine, honey, olive oil, regional sweet ...).
