Natural environment interpretation in Ledesma (Salamanca)
Through Ledesma there are several livestock trails and old paths that are being recovered and marked for hiking or MTB.
Making the most of these routes that go through the meadow or next to the río Tormes, we do interpretative routes where we will learn about this particular ecosystem, at the same time we admire the animals that live in it, the wildlife trace (or even the wildlife, if we are lucky) and the most ancient rural buildings.
Some of these routes go through well defined paths with stone walls or wire fences, but in other occasions we will have to cross country passing nearby cows, pigs or sheeps.
At the same time, we will enjoy the landscapes and corners where time has stopped, reminding us those the past years, when the workers lived in huts and sheds, at their workplace. An example of this are the bridges of Mocho and Peñaserracín, or the areas next to the river.
