Activity description
Don’t you still know the incredible natural environment of Picos de Europa?

Discover this wonderful hiking trail where you will discover one of the most impressive lungs of Spain: the Redes Natural Park. In this virgin space, apart from encountering the usual tourist circuits full of crowds, nature, vegetation and wild fauna are found in their greatest form to become the best attractions in our route.

This linear route will take you to Llagu Ovia, the highest point of our route through the territory of Casu. Don’t you still know the Roman road in Llagu Ovia? This ancient Roman road was the road that connects the lands of Casu, Ponga and Piloña, near the Collado de Arnicio. Most of this path is cemented, but it's possible to see a well preserved fragment starting from the town of Nieves, which is already in the vicinity of this lake. Later on, you will get to explore the Infierno river (the 'river of Hell’) to follow its downstream through an amazing forest until reaching Espinareu, a typical Asturian village full of granary. The natural environment of this town is a living treasure of other times. Its antiquity is mainly attested by the granary that we can find in this area: these agrarian constructions are an invention that was used to store crops and meat and a place where put food in shelter. It's the reason why they were built on high, supported on pillars: to avoid humidity and achieve the desired temperature, preventing at the same time that the animals that inhabit this area ate with stock.

Our qualified guide will take you to discover the hidden wonders of this corner in Asturias. If you want to enjoy an interpretive trail with family or friends: don't think twice! This spot in Asturias will definitely make you fall in love with Spain.

Join us in this incredible trip and discover the wilder side of Paradise.
