Venta de la Inés and Minas del Horcajo (Cuidad Real)
We will arrive in a 4x4 to a typical castellana sale, La Venta de la Inés. Located at the bottom of the hill which is used to cross Sierra de la Umbría de Alcudia, in the middle of Parque Natural del Valle de Alcudia y Sierra Madrona and Camino de la Plata. Stop and fonda de Cervantes, mentioned in El Quijote and its play Rinconete y Cortadillo. The only available sale where, as well, we will have the chance to say hi to the actual owner, descendant of the family who started this shelter in the XV century.
From there, we will start an interpretative route on foot through Camino de la Plata, with some spectacular views you will be able to enjoy with some binocular we will provide you. We will cross a tunnel of over 1 km where the narrow-gauge railway used to run, with a flashlight in hand we will get into the beautiful town history, found at the other end of the tunnel, Horcajo, a mining town that ended up hosting thousands of families and treasures some amazing mining heritage.
We will have a stop on the way to enjoy a picnic based on local products, a visit to the town and our 4x4 will be waiting for us to transfer us to the start point of this ecotourism adventure.
