Hiking day at the source of the Río Mundo in Riópar (Albacete)
Enjoy Parque Natural de los Calares del Mundo y la Sima, in Riópar (Albacete), doing a route we know. We will start from the parking at the Natural Park to face a well marked path, ascending the valley hillside.
At the highest point of the route, we will have to pay attention to our steps, because next to the path we will have a fall of about 100 meters. It’s not difficult to overcome, unless you suffer from vertigo.
Few meters after, we will arrive at the magnificent entrance to the cueva de Los Chorros, where río Mundo starts.
The distance of the route is 5 kilometers back and forth, with a positive slope of 300 meters and we will reach a maximum height of 1300 meters. In total, the expected duration of the route is 3 hours, and the physical level needed is medium.
