Nowadays, in las Azores exists a net of hiking routes classified by the Government.
For many years, in las Azores, the easiest way to travel was through the sea, there were very few accessible routes and they were considerably difficult to transit with horses and oxen wagons. But there was a livestock trail, where shepherds and locals used it for the exchange of small products; the bigger products were exchanged thanks to the sea.
This net of routes has been restored to enjoy the magnificent landscape of las Azores.
It’s a circular route that crosses the road towards an exceptional tea plantation. At 1200 meters high, after the star you will go over a stone bridge and will step into the livestock landscape of las Azores.
At the top of the grazing lands, you will enjoy the wonderful views over the northern coast of the islands, from Pico da Vara to northeast till Ribeirinha.
This activity can be cancelled and fully refunded up to 24 hours after booking.
After this time, Big Blue Adventures has established that no one can cancel the activity once the booking is placed.
