Activity description

Move to the most artisan village in Asturias, Villanueva. There you will discover the world of felt and your process.

But what is the felt exactly? Well it is neither more nor less, the first textile that created the human, have even found remains of felt in Prehistory. So it was the first textile with which they covered their bodies.

To make felt you just need to layer several thin layers of wool fibers or animal hair under pressure. And in this course you will be able to put into practice all your creativity from the materials that we will provide you: virgin wool of sheep, water and soap. With your hands you will create magnificent pieces of natural felt from scratch.

Of course, once the course is over you can take your creations home to have a memory of this special day.

You have to be at least 5 years old.
