Come to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience in Nepal! Beginning from Lukla, we will walk through all the Sherpa villages on our way to the Everest, the most famous mountain in the world. You will get to enjoy incredible views and have a great time!
This region is known to be cold, arid and unforgiving. But why wouldn’t we? The little mountaineer within us says we can do it! The Everest, being so high and so far away from the rest of the world gives you a special insight of Nepal.
Day 1: Arrival. Pre-trip meeting
We will receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You’ll stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 2: Flying to Lukla and trekking to Phakding
A half-an-hour flight will take you to Lukla, a small tourist town over the Everest. You will officially land inside the Everest Region, where you will begin your trekking. We will start with a three-hour warm up trip all the way down to Phakding village and you’ll be able to rest for the day.
Day 3: Trekking to Namche Bazaar
You will discover the Sagarmatha National Park and walk over suspension bridges and incredible gorges to get there. If you want to do some last minute shopping, you could do this at Namche Bazaar. Also, you will get to meet travellers like yourself who are heading to or returning from Everest.
Day 4: Resting at Namche
Today it’s an acclimatization rest day. You can visit the market and meet local Sherpas and fellow travellers. You should rest a little bit today, in preparation to your trekking.
Day 5: Trekking to Tengboche
Located at the confluence of the Imja and the Dudh Koshi rivers, Tengboche is home to the largest monastery. It takes about five hours of trekking to get here from Namche.
Day 6: Trekking to Dingboche
We will have to trek for 6 hours to get to Dingboche. You will rest here for two days - it’s a perfect acclimatization spot for the trekkers!
Day 7: Resting at Dingboche
Dingboche is good for a day of sightseeing. As said before, we’ll get to rest today.
Day 8: Trekking to Lobuche
We will hike through rugged snow-covered areas passing through the Thukla village to reach Lobuche at the foot of the Khumbu glacier. By now, you’ll be ready to keep going.
Day 9: Trekking to Gorakshep. Trekking to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep
A short three-hour trek will take you to Gorakshep, a village sitting on top of a frozen lake. Here, we will have lunch before starting our trek to Everest. Enjoy the Everest as much as you want but we can’t camp here with your trekking permit so we will have to return to Gorakshep before the night comes.
Day 10: Hiking to Kala Patthar and trekking to Pheriche
We will ascend all the way to Kala Patthar. It’s a two-hour uphill expedition that will put to test your mountain-climbing skills. Later on, we will descend to Pheriche, a small village full of yaks, and rest for the day.
Day 11: Trekking to Namche Bazaar
We will enjoy an easy downhill trek through forests, suspension bridges and next to mountain ridges will get you to Namche Bazaar, where you’ll find a great place to share your experience with fellow trekkers.
Day 12: Trekking to Lukla
We will enjoy a five-hour trek down to Lukla, where our route began. Your trek ends here and Lukla is famous for hosting your end-of-journey party. Now you can rest and have fun!
Day 13: Flying to Kathmandu and farewell dinner
We will fly back and enjoy a farewell dinner for you before you leave.
Day 14: Final departure
We will drop you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We hope to see you again very soon!
