The Everest base Camp Trek is known to have a number of stunning attractions. This route will get you right into the high altitudes in the Himalayas, and you will discover unique Sherpa villages and old age gompas (monasteries). You’ll get to interact with local Sherpa people of this region, which will make your trekking more interesting.
The trek reaches a high point of 5545m at Kalapathar, which is a small peak offering superb views of the Mount Everest and other Himalayan peaks. You will get to visit Namche Bazaar, Thame, Khumjung and Tengboche Monastery during your trekking trip. You will be amazed by great panoramic views of Ama Dabla, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse and the beautiful Gokyo lake and Gokyo valley.
As well as discovering the thrilling views, the trekkers will have chance to admire and get to know the lifestyle of the Sherpa people, also known as the world greatest climbers. You will also get to witness different types of wild animals, like the Musk Deer, Thar, Blue Sheep, Snow Leopard and several different species of birds like the Munal, Kalij and Danfe (Lophophorus), as well as different kinds of plants.
Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu
Day 2: Morning flight (25 min) to Lukla (2860 m), and trek to Phakding (2610 mtrs)
Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 4: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazzar
Day 5: Trekking to Tengboche (3860m)
Day 6: Trekking up to Dingboche (4410m)
Day 7: Acclimatization day at Dinboche
Day 8: Trekking to Lobuche (4910m)
Day 9: Trekking to Gorak Shep - Everest Base camp - Back to Gorak Shep (5153 m)
Day 10: Early morning to Kalapathar (5545m) and trekking down to Pheriche, 5 hours
Day 11: Trekking to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 12: Trekking down to Lukla (2840m)
Day 13: Flight to Kathmandu, 30 minutes
Day 14: Departure from Nepal.
