Come to one of the most beautiful natural places in Madrid and practice canyoning in the descent of the Duratón.

The Sierra Norte of Madrid

The Sierra Norte de Madrid is a region that encompasses several municipalities of the Community of Madrid and many natural spaces that are an authentic paradise for nature lovers such as the Lozoya River Basin, the Sierra del Rincón or charming villages like Patones de Arriba where it reflects the traditional architecture of the Madrid mountain range.

Somosierra

The town of Somorierra and all its natural environment is the clear example of the high mountain landscape of the region. In addition, it has an amazing forest richness with abundant wild pines, oaks or holm oaks. The presence of buoy pastures for livestock is very notable. An area of great tourist attraction that is certainly worth visiting.

The activity

A unique activity of canyoning in the descent of the Duraton awaits you. A very valid natural place for this activity with abseiling up to 30 meters. It is a descent you will never forget with slides of 9 meters and located in a very special environment between Somosierra and the Sierra de Guadarrama Natural Park. The descent is composed by a vertical waterfall with several highlights, a first horizontal part of destrepes and a small jump. After the big waterfall, come rappels and slides.

Requirements

You have to be at least 10 years old and less than 80 years old.

Children until 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
