The Sierra de Gredos
The Sierra de Gredos Regional Park is located in the north of the province of Ávila. A space of great natural value well known for hosting unique places such as lagoons, gorges, circuses and impressive mountains. Its habitat is composed of a multitude of species distributed throughout the mountain range and with a large number of botanical endemisms. In addition, it is the ideal place to carry out a large number of activities such as trekking or canyoning (thanks to the high number of gorges and canyons).
San Pedro and the Arbilla River Garganta
The municipality of San Pedro is considered as the medieval village of Sierra de Gredos. In it you will find charming palaces, castles and spectacular nature. Undoubtedly its most precious jewel is the fortress of Arenas de San Pedro. But you will also find perfect places for canyoning, such as the Arbilla River Garganta. This narrow gorge is located just two hours from Madrid. Its geological conditions and the influence of the river make it the perfect place for this activity.
The activity
A guided activity of about 3 hours (approximately) awaits you where you can be carried away by vertiginous jumps, slides, abseiling of up to 20 meters and much more. In addition, technically not very demanding so no advanced level is required. Being located in one of the wettest points of the Sierra de Gredos, it makes for an ideal flow all year round.
