Discovering río Tormes in a canoe (Ledesma, Salamanca)
Enjoy río Tormes from the unique perspective that a canoe offers.
We start from Ledesma, and we will do a section of 4 kilometers in total, back and forth. The activity lasts for about 2 hours, including previous explanations about safety and management.
We use sit on top kayaks for 2 adults and 1 child younger than 10 years old. The activity is performed with a safety vest and helmet; so, even if you are not a great swimmer, there is no risk.
The section we will be doing is next to Ledesma, going underneath its bridges and arriving to a small beach where the “challenge” of the route waits for us.
There, we can discover its rich historical heritage, with some different and singular views from the wall, as well as the amazing and totally natural landscape composed by a great variety of native flora.
In some occasions, if we are lucky, we can enjoy sightings of the fauna, like herons, birds of prey, kingfishers or even some otters.
