Come with us to a unique day through Parque Natural de los Calares del Mundo y la Sima. We will enjoy a route on foot and in a vehicle, and we will stop at different key spots for birdwatching.
Some of the most notable species are birds of prey, like the Bonelli’s eagle, the golden eagle, the griffon vulture or the peregrine falcon, among many others.
As well, we will try to find the biggest colony of griffon vultures in Albacete (25 couples), that live in Calar. We will also visit the surroundings of río Tus, breeding area of the dipper.
Of course, one of our main goals will be seeing the bearded vulture, species that belongs to the recovery programme in Andalucía, and that are regulars in the area.
Finally, in Yeste, where we will stop to have lunch, there is a chance to visit its castle, an spectacular fortress of the 12th century, and Centro de Interpretación del Parque Natural.
