Doñana and its wonders


Doñana is a unique natural space in Spain. Currently it is a perfect location for bird watching as well as observation of other species. It was declared as a World Heritage site in 1994.


Along its terrain you can find more than 300 different species, both aquatic and terrestrial, as it is a passage area, due to its situation as a bridge between Africa and Europe.



Ornithological interest


The habitat for observation extends from marches, pines forests to rice fields. Among the most endangered species you can run into horned coot, the marbled teal and the imperial eagle. Others might also cross our paths such as the brown pochard, the white-headed duck or the bittern.


The major concentration of marine birds is usually in winter when thousands of common geese and common cranes approach this ornithological paradise. And of course, the famous common flamingos that live here throughout the year.


A special route


Enjoy a full day in the National Park of Doñana (very close to Sevilla) and observe one of the greatest concentration of birds.
