If you are passionate about bird observation and love nature, Costa Rica is a perfect destination for you to live a wonderful experience.
Discover Costa Rica
If we would have to name a country which holds numerous ecotourism activities and extensive nature, it would be Costa Rica. This small country is known for its rich biodiversity.
We are talking about more than 100.000 different species of flora and fauna in an area of 51.100 km². Even more, it is one of the countries with the highest level of nature protection and amount of natural parks. The National Park of Isla del Coco is declared as a world heritage.
Golfo de Nicoya and the National Park Parque of Carara
Some of its natural beauty spots are found on the coast that are washed by the waves of Pacific. The Gulf of Nicoya is a natural paradise of flora and fauna and one of the most popular tourist areas for nature lovers with precious beaches.
The National Park of Carara protects the basin of the Grande de Tárcoles river and a tropical ecosystem of great value. Here you can observe bird species that are very representative of the country such as the scarlet macaws and psittacines.
