Activity description

An important wetland in Esparragalejo and the magnificent meadow of the village will allow you to enjoy Extremadura's landscape and the bird species that inhabit it.

In addition, in the Canchales reservoir, Zone of Special Protection of Birds (ZEPA) and Internationally Important Wetlands, we can watch a wide diversity of bird species from these wetlands, and also of its surroundings, that are different depending on the time of the year. In winter, the concentration of more than 4000 common cranes, 400 gooses and more than 10000 waterfowls, is amazing. In the postnuptial passage (August-September), there is a great pass of waders in both wetlands.
