You are not going to find a better kayaking route in northern Spain!
In this particular route, found in northern Ebro river, we will enjoy a great river flow, so we’ll be able to navigate a greater distance with not much effort. We call this ‘the ultimate kayaking route’ because of its great cultural and historical value: you’ll get to know several natural environments, islands and towns where we can stop at.
The start point is usually at Móra la Nova, and we often stop to have breakfast or a dip in some island around Benissanet, to then later arrive at the emblematic Miravet, of great historical heritage. We start at Móra del Ebro castle to end up at the bottom of Miravet castle: where we will know its boats, still in operation, and the only ones that don’t require any electricity.
As well as discovering and learning about the vegetation and bird species of this area, we will aso know the “aubergins”, known to be the chosen Iberian settlements by our ancestors and the Civil War history and its Ebro Battle. Of course, thanks to the guides, you’ll know where to eat, what to visit, where to rest and local habits.
If you want to know a kayak route where history plays the main role, don’t think twice about it! This is your experience you were looking for.
