The rugged mountains of the Picos de Europa
This activity consists of 6 magnificent and unforgettable days during which you will be accompanied by a qualified guide who will walk through the Picos de Europa with you, enjoying the beautiful landscapes until we reach the anillo extrem where we will finish the route. This route will be divided into different daily stages during all of which we will be trekking until we reach the end point of the activity.
During these days we will visit the two most important massifs of the three that make up the Picos de Europa.
An unparalleled itinerary
The itinerary will consist of:
1st day: We will move towards the lakes of Covadonga. There we will leave the vehicles and walk for about 30 minutes until we reach the refuge where we will have dinner and spend the first night.
2nd day: We will start what will be the hardest stage of the whole activity. We will walk for about 23 km until the end of the day, trekking through different places where we will stamp our passports before we reach the refuge where we will spend the night. This stage will last for approximately 10 hours.
3rd day: This part of the trek is divided into two parts; one that takes us through an itinerary where we can see some stunning views of the impressive peaks of the Western Massif and another that will immerse us in the heart of the Central Massif, being one of the most beautiful trails in the Picos de Europa. These will lead us to the next refuge where we will rest before continuing our journey. This stage is composed of about 18 km and will last for about 9 to 10 hours.
4th day: This day will be rough, but not as hard as the previous two. At the end of the day we will have three more stamps acquired. This trail consists of about 16 km and will take from 8 to 9 hours.
5th day: This is the penultimate and the shortest days at the Central Massif, consisting of 10 km and about 5 to 6 hours trek, until we will reach the next shelter.
6th day: We only have to end the circle. We will need to walk for about 18 km, from 8 to 9 hours. This stage will start quite difficult, but it will end with a descent along which we will arrive at the place where we left our cars and there we will finish our great experience.
By completing this impressive hiking trail you will receive a commemorative t-shirt to have a nice memory of what you have achieved during these days.
